This website was designed for you. To take advantage of learning and sharing. I am a decisive person. I choose to do something, and then I do it to the best of my ability. Therefore, I hope that you take the steps in planning your daily action steps to make you succeed in what your goal may be. My name is Julie A Hayek, ND, MBA,MSPH, NCTMB. As a Naturopathic Physican, I have been in Preventive Health for over 18 years. I have traveled around the world doing many Health and Lifestyle Educational lectures and seminars, as well as motivational talks and sermons. I enjoy giving youth seminars as well. Just being about to make a difference is what it is all about in life. I have Consulted many people. I also work with youth groups in empowering them. The  seminars are encouraging, realistic and challenging. I stress the importance of health maintenance and disease prevention. Seeking to educate people in the basics of being and staying healthy. It's really about getting back to the basics. We have lost sight of what really matters and that is health. The bottom line is our health. Prevention and Lifestyle are the Keys to Longevity. My MBA is in strategic management and I help people to strategically manage their lives and worksite consulting to increase productivity and profit.

I find that there are two types of people I meet, the first are ones that know I have what they need and the second don't know yet I have what they need to be successful in life, whether it's physical, mental, or spiritual help.

Some of the seminars are inspirational, motivational, funny and are catered to the group. I tailor all my seminars. I encourage, uplift, empower, and give action plans to success.

What you can do:

1. Take control of your life. NOW!This is so vital. You are the key to any situation that you want to change in your life. You first have to make up your mind and then you can follow through with the right steps in changing it.  

2. Start reading your food labels. My rule of thumb: if you can't pronounce any of the ingredients or know what it is then you need to leave it on the shelf in the store. You have to take control of you!If you don't know what it is please, please don't eat it. Only choose the best for your body to consume.

3. Eat more fruits (5-9 servings per day). How to do this is simple: eat 3 variety of fruits for breakfast or have two apple, one orange or two orange, one banana or one mango, two bananas. It's that simple.

4. Eat more vegetables (5-9 servings per day). How to do this is simple: eat a large salad, and three  to four servings of cooked vegetables

5. Get 7-9 hours of sleep each night. This is vital. When not getting your rest at night can make you extremely tire for days. Be careful not to use drugs or caffine products or sugar during the day, this affects your REM sleep. You need deep sleep. 

6. Have a regular schedule every day, don't let everything around you determine what you do, you need to determine your schedule. Be in control of your life. This is so vital as well. Not having a regular schedule of sleeping, and eating can really make a huge difference such as gaining weight. This can be serious.

7. Take time to schedule your week, goals and to do lists. You will find that you have more time.

8. Make a list of 10 favorite meals you enjoy. This will help with a weekly and monthly meal planning strategy. You will save money, time and be organized.

9. Put God first. See what will happen when you do this. You will be amazed. All things will be added onto you.

Other things to do:

1.Assume more responsibility for your personal health care. Learn something about basic anatomy and physiology. Learn how to take your pulse and blood pressure.

2. Abandon the "acute care" mentality and focus on preventing disease.

3. Make a commitment to life!

4. Gradually change your lifestyle. Take one step at a time and live one day at a time. Try and get someone close to you to help you in this change.

5. Discipline yourself into new and better habits, you must do it yourself, when it comes to disciplining. Don't feel guilty if you make mistakes or occasionally do not follow through.

6. The key to success is growth. So follow the light of truth as it opens to you.
